Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation has committed to help all of Lafayette Parish stay current with the latest happenings in our area! Commencing January 2010, ULEDF's television show, "Upper Lafayette, On the Move!" will run new 30 minute segments on the first and third Wednesday of each month, at 7:00 p.m. The show is broadcast on "Channel One" of AOC, which is Channel 15 on Cox Cable, and LUS Fiber 3. Replays will also air on Friday nights at 10:00 p.m., Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Mondays at 5:00 p.m., all on AOC 1.
The show is made possible by the generosity of Delta Media, owned by Charles Chatelain, who provides a studio and film crew at their location in Upper Lafayette at 3501 NW Evangeline Thruway. The show will be underwritten by Acadian Ambulance, Acadiana Computer Systems, McDonald's of Acadiana, Our Lady of Lourdes, Schilling Distributing Company and Valor Commercial Real Estate.
It is such a pleasure getting to know the movers and shakers in our community who give selflessly of their time to make Upper Lafayette and all of Lafayette the best it can be. Recent guests include Glenn Brasseaux (mayor of Carencro), Joey Durel (Lafayette City-Parish President), Gregg Gothreaux (CEO of Lafayette Economic Development Authority), and Greg Davis (Director of Cajundome--who spoke on the education issues facing our school system).
