Jan Swift

Jan Swift has served as Executive Director since January 2008 and in that capacity, hosts ULEDF’s television show, “Upper Lafayette, On the Move,” which highlights business and community leaders bi-weekly on Acadiana Open Channel. She is a graduate of LSU and LSU Law School and maintains a real estate practice.  Jan is active at her church, Asbury United Methodist Church, and led the 2011 Stewardship Drive.   Jan is in her third term on the Board of Directors of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, is on the Executive Committee, and co-chairs the Public Policy Committee of the Chamber  She is a member of the I-49 South Task Force appointed by Gov. Bobby Jindal.  She was honored in February 2011 as a “Fittest Exec” by ABiz, a publication of the Independent Weekly, and was a 2008 “Woman of Excellence” honored by the Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women.  She and her husband, John, have two daughters, a Golden Retriever and two "ARF rescue puppies."

Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation is an association of proactive individuals and business leaders, joined together to be a catalyst for change. The Foundation’s mission is to enhance and direct the positive, planned growth of Upper Lafayette, focusing on quality of life, while participating in the overall development of the Greater Lafayette Metropolitan Area.
