Shelf Energy, LLC is an independent oil and gas exploration and development company based in Lafayette, LA.  Shelf's principals created this company with the purpose of identifying and participating in good quality, low-risk oil and gas projects.  Shelf is comprised of a group of seasoned professionals with disciplines in geology, geophysics, engineering, drilling, landwork, acquisitions, completion and production, as well as considerable exploration expertise in the Gulf of Mexico and South Louisiana.   

By acting on its proprietary knowledge base, and technical expertise, Shelf has developed a promising portfolio of both offshore and onshore prospects and ideas for future growth.  Along with acquisition, farm-out and other screened prospects that Shelf will have an interest in, Shelf is positioned for growth due to its size and its inventory list of prospects.
