On behalf of The Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation, Executive Director Johnathan Williams presents a unified statement regarding the state of the Upper Lafayette community in 2020.
"Julian’s 5th Annual Diaper Drive," is Love of People’s donation-drive supporting local women’s shelters, and the aging population, throughout Acadiana. The final day, July 28, it will celebrate with a drive-through diaper drop-off at its offices.
The decision to shutter four recreational and community centers was made without consulting the concerned and invested individuals, business owners and community leaders of the Northside and Upper Lafayette communities.
The Lafayette Consolidated Government and the Lafayette Economic Development Authority have opened applications to provide local businesses with additional funds, allocated from the federal and state governments, to aid those financially affected by the pandemic.
Restock is a collaborative initiative generated by Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation member-businesses with services ranging in healthcare, communications, production, technological development and more. The initiative is designed to provide a well cultured, accountable brand to represent proper protocols and procedures, as well as peace-of mind-for customers, businesses and the community as we proceed with the new-normal of pandemic, and post-pandemic, life.
The 2nd Annual Fete de la Musique will ring throughout St. Martin Parish on Saturday, June, 20, from 6 to 9 p.m., as St. Martin is the first parish to bring the 39-year Parisian tradition to Louisiana.
The “Cajun Catholics” podcast, hosted by Todd Citron, is sharing the testimonies of outstanding Catholics and Christians in Acadiana with anyone “who hath ears to listen.”
