“We are excited to bring back the original Prejean’s Zydeco Brunch,” said owner, Tim Metcalf. Metcalf and partners announced their ownership, remodel and rebrand last November, and have reopened the South Louisiana institution. Prejean’s had continuously featured Cajun music, but is seizing the opportunity to reinstate the old pastime of live Zydeco music on Sundays. The new ownership remains committed to showcasing the best Cajun, Zydeco and Blues music Acadiana has to offer.

“By partnering with Blue Monday,” Metcalf said, “we are able to help the community and help to
preserve one of our most unique assets – the music.”

Metcalf and his Prejean’s partners possess more than 75 years of restaurant industry experience among them. When Metcalf began to execute his vision, he reached out to the accomplished Marc Broussard, who referred Metcalf to his affiliated service organization, Love of People. Broussard has donated much of his time and celebrity to LOP since its inception. LOP will co-produce Zydeco Brunch and ensure the mutual vision of preserving the culture, and cultural economy, is realized.
