The Lafayette Parish NAACP Unit #6060 Young Adult Committee presents In Observance of Juneteenth A Drive-In Memorial! This year’s theme is “Honoring Black Lives” ! EVENT WILL OCCUR ON THE CORNER OF BUICK STREET AND LOUISIANA AVE.

You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating and honoring black lives as we educate you on the importance of Juneteenth.

We will have a host of performances for your enjoyment and a variety of vendors for your shopping pleasure. Meet and greet Lafayette’s own SEFL Football Team “The Bayou Hurricanes”. This event is FREE to the public and ALL are encouraged to attend!

This as a drive in event to observe social distancing. We encourage you to bring your lawn chairs or blankets for those who wish to sit outside their vehicles. FACE MASK REQUIRED when socializing with others (we will have extra mask on sight). FREE COVID-19 Testing, plus information on how you can help stop the spread, will also be available throughout the duration of this event.

We will close the event with a candlelight/headlight/cell phone light vigil honoring the AMAZINGLY BRAVE, BLACK lives that have gone before us. So bring your signs and let’s leave a powerful message with an impact that EVERYONE will feel.
